Join us!** **Responsibilities and Tasks of the Role** (Include at least three activities to be performed by the candidate.) **Mandatory Requirements** **Key Responsibilities:** * **Technical Leadership and Mentoring:** * **Lead** the conception and development of complex structural solutions for fuselages, wings, empennages, movable parts, and engine/system integration structures. * **Guide and provide technical support** to junior and mid-level engineers and designers, reviewing and approving their designs and detailing work. * Serve as the **technical reference** for the team on matters related to materials, manufacturing processes, and structural standards. * **Advanced Conceptualization and Design Optimization:** * Define innovative structural architectures and concepts, optimizing them for weight, cost, performance, and manufacturability (DfM/DfA). * Conduct feasibility studies and trade-offs to identify the most suitable structural solutions. * **Technical Management of Development Phases:** * **Lead and conduct** structural design and detailing activities during critical phases of the product development lifecycle: * + **PDR (Preliminary Design Review):** Lead the definition of preliminary concepts, architectures, and structural requirements. + **CDR (Critical Design Review):** Lead the critical review of detailed design, ensuring its maturity, compliance, and technical feasibility. + **FDR (Final Design Review):** Ensure the final design meets all technical and regulatory requirements for manufacturing release and certification. * Act as the technical focal point in multidisciplinary meetings with Analysis (Stress), Aerodynamics, Manufacturing, Materials, and Certification teams. * **Advanced Modeling and Detailing:** * Apply advanced proficiency in **CATIA V5** (or equivalent tool) for 3D modeling of complex parts and assemblies, with expertise in modules such as **Sheetmetal, Machined Parts, and Composites**. * Ensure quality and compliance of 2D detail drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials. * **Standards Application and Compliance:** * Ensure strict application of aerospace engineering standards, regulations, and specifications (including certification requirements) across all design and detailing aspects. * Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company’s internal design standards. * **Resolution of Complex Problems:** * Diagnose and propose robust technical solutions to complex structural design and integration challenges. * Provide advanced support to manufacturing and testing departments. **Essential Qualifications:** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Postgraduate studies in design or structures are a plus. * **Experience:** Minimum of 8–10 years of proven experience in aerospace structural design and development, with active participation and leadership across multiple complete aircraft development cycles (PDR, CDR, FDR). * **Technical Leadership:** Experience leading technical teams or projects, with demonstrated mentoring capability. * **Advanced CATIA V5 Proficiency:** Advanced mastery of CATIA V5, including expertise in Sheetmetal, Machined Parts, and Composites, and strong ability to resolve complex modeling issues. * **Comprehensive Knowledge of Aircraft Structures:** In-depth knowledge of fuselage, wing, empennage, movable part, and engine/system installation design and detailing. * **Standards and Regulations:** Deep knowledge and practical experience applying aerospace standards and certification requirements. * **Skills:** Excellent communication and negotiation skills, leadership, systemic vision, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
