SESMT Manager

Description

**About the position:** We are seeking a professional to manage strategic Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), ensuring legal compliance, strengthening a prevention-oriented culture, and promoting safe working environments for employees. The SESMT Manager will be responsible for leading teams, developing corporate OSH strategies, and supporting operations in implementing best practices for occupational safety. **Key responsibilities:** * Manage Occupational Safety and Health activities across various units and operations; * Lead multidisciplinary OSH teams, fostering technical development and strategic alignment; * Design, implement, and monitor occupational safety and health policies, programs, and procedures; * Monitor departmental indicators and develop action plans aimed at reducing accidents and mitigating risks; * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, labor legislation, and applicable legal requirements; * Strategically engage in audits, inspections, and internal processes related to OSH; * Develop awareness initiatives, training programs, and campaigns focused on safety culture; * Support leadership and operational areas in decision-making related to occupational health and safety. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering with active registration at the professional council; * Proven experience in SESMT management and team leadership; * Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards, labor and social security legislation; * Experience managing indicators, audits, and prevention programs. **Preferred qualifications:** * Experience in large-scale operations with multiple units; * Postgraduate degree or specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering, OSH Management, or related fields; * Knowledge of continuous improvement programs and safety culture; * Analytical and strategic profile with strong communication and negotiation skills. **Work schedule:** * Monday to Saturday, with availability for travel.
