Boiler Shop Leader

Description

Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise the production team activities within your department. * Assign tasks according to production planning and priorities. * Ensure adherence to manufacturing and delivery deadlines. * Guarantee the quality of welding, assembly, and finishing processes for components. * Monitor production indicators and propose improvements. * Ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations and proper use of PPE. * Interpret technical drawings and production orders. * Address operational issues and make decisions on the shop floor. * Train and develop the team, promoting continuous improvement. * Control the usage of materials, supplies, and equipment. * Support departments such as Production Control (PCP), Engineering, and Quality. * Maintain department organization and cleanliness (5S). * Distribute tasks equitably based on employees' skills and competencies. * Mediate conflicts and intervene assertively in cases of indiscipline or underperformance. * Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and discipline. * Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. * Serve as the liaison between the operational team and management (supervision/management). * Plan team vacation schedules. Requirements: * Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree. * Experience in the metallurgical industry (preferred). * Computer literacy. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Clear and assertive communication. * Technical leadership and influencing capability. * Ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
