Shipping Supervisor

Description

SteelCorp is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead the planning, control, and monitoring of transportation logistics for prefabricated panels destined for construction sites, ensuring operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and integrity of transported materials. **Key Responsibilities** Plan and monitor shipping and transportation schedules for panels to construction sites; Maintain daily coordination with the factory, construction sites, carriers, and the planning team; Ensure proper loading, verification, and release of materials; Monitor deliveries, deadlines, logistics incidents, and performance indicators; Manage transportation documentation, freight manifests, and shipping checklists; Optimize transportation routes, cargo utilization, and reduce logistics costs; Support carrier management and SLA monitoring; Ensure processes comply with the company’s safety, quality, and SGI guidelines; Respond promptly to operational deviations and unexpected logistics issues. **Requirements** Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields; Proven experience in leadership roles within logistics, shipping, transportation, or supply chain; Experience in cargo scheduling and delivery tracking; Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; Organized, analytical, proactive profile with strong communication skills; Desirable experience in civil construction, industrial manufacturing, or factory operations. **Preferred Qualifications** Experience transporting special cargo or industrialized materials; Knowledge of industrialized construction processes; Experience in high-volume operational environments with multiple simultaneous deliveries. **Expected Competencies** Sense of urgency; Organization and planning; Negotiation skills; Priority management; Operational awareness and problem-solving focus; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to lead teams and manage performance indicators (KPIs).
