Maintenance Mechanic

Description

Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining and performing maintenance on machines and equipment, managing inventory, guiding customers, and ensuring safety and proper operation. Key Highlights: 1. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment 2. Guides customers on equipment usage and safety 3. Organizes and controls inventory of machines and parts * Maintains and performs required maintenance on all machines and equipment according to the store's established work routine, prioritizing local demand and applying the principle of scarcity to guide actions; * Maintains daily written records of performed maintenance, number of machines and equipment under maintenance, temporarily withdrawn units, and units awaiting parts per store schedule, ensuring proper system entries and releases; * Participates in refresher training and necessary courses for full performance of duties; * Reports any damage observed during inspection of any machine or equipment to the supervisor, so that necessary repairs can be carried out, ensuring equipment remains in perfect working and safety condition; * Complies with safety regulations, uses personal protective equipment (PPE), and takes necessary precautions to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues; Tests and verifies equipment and machines upon customer delivery and return, whenever requested; * Guides customers—in-store or on-site—on equipment operation, basic maintenance, and required safety measures and equipment; * Prepares spare parts lists according to need and provides corresponding codes as specified in the supplier’s manual; * Organizes machine and equipment inventory according to designated locations to facilitate stock verification; * Conducts inventory checks for parts and machines; * Performs other related tasks; * Conducts area analysis and makes decisions impacting own activities, under occasional coordination.
