Bending Machine Operator

Description

Job Summary: The professional will prepare and operate bending machines, verifying materials and measurements, while also contributing to maintenance, performance indicator control, and workplace safety. Focus on safety, organization, and professional development * Prepare machine setup according to the Work Order, assembling tools for bends specified in the drawing. * Verify that materials allocated for bending conform to the drawing, checking width, length, and thickness measurements. * Perform bending operations respecting drawing measurements and tolerances. * Operate the machine according to the established operational procedure, taking care of, maintaining, and cleaning it to preserve its original condition. * Inspect upper and lower bending tools before and during operations to ensure correct assembly and extend tool life. * Perform measurements (using calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors, etc.) on parts to verify conformance to drawings. * Support maintenance processes by reporting machine and equipment failures or deviations in advance, providing operational information to maintenance personnel. * Support area performance indicator control by completing spreadsheets and performance reports, sharing information with the area manager. * Immediately inform the direct supervisor upon observing any machine irregularities to enable necessary maintenance and preserve work equipment. * Support immediate management on matters related to the area of responsibility, presenting and discussing problems and irregularities as needed to assist in defining procedures and actions to be adopted. * Comply with safety regulations and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per internal standards. * Guide new employees on area-specific activities whenever required, accompanying them and facilitating their understanding of equipment. * Attend training sessions when summoned, dedicating full attention to achieve desired work outcomes. * Maintain company assets, requesting maintenance, repair, and/or replacement whenever necessary. * Keep the workplace, equipment, and materials clean and organized to ensure optimal usage conditions and preserve occupational health and environmental aspects. * Perform other related tasks as required by the Immediate Leadership.
