Collection Officer

Description

***Responsibilities:*** 1\. Collect biological specimens from patients according to physician orders and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and hospital regulations. 2\. Perform routine laboratory tasks. 3\. Prepare collection materials. 4\. Collect patient samples (outpatient and inpatient), upon physician request and after verifying relevant data (patient's name, age, sex, hospital unit, date, and especially collection time). 5\. Sort protocols and labels for specimen collection. 6\. Record specimen disposition and related collection information in the Shift system. 7\. Consult documents and manuals in the Tasy system. 8\. Sort materials by urgency level and dispatch them to the clinical laboratory. 9\. Perform collection duties during night shifts in Inpatient Units, ICUs, and Emergency Departments. 10\. Register patients and tests. 11\. Complete documentation/spreadsheets and forms related to laboratory routines. 12\. Deliver blood gas analysis slips to critical care units. ***Requirements:*** * Education: Collection Technician or Nursing Technician. ***Schedule:*** 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM \+ weekend on-call shifts.
