**Position:** Bricklayer **Sector:** Civil Construction / Construction Projects **Supervision:** Site Foreman, Construction Supervisor or Civil Engineer **Position Summary:** The Bricklayer is responsible for carrying out masonry work, concrete pouring, plastering, floor laying, cladding, and other activities related to the construction and maintenance of buildings. Works in accordance with project plans, technical and safety standards, ensuring quality and finish of the services performed. **Main Responsibilities:** * Interpret blueprints, project plans and technical specifications. * Prepare and organize the worksite, tools and materials. * Carry out foundations, footings, walls, slabs, floors, cladding and finishing work. * Lay blocks, bricks, floor tiles and ceramic tiles. * Apply interior and exterior plaster. * Perform concrete pouring and leveling. * Correct imperfections and carry out repairs on existing structures. * Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of tools and the workplace. * Comply with occupational health, safety and environmental regulations. * Work as part of a team, maintaining effective communication with assistants, laborers and other construction professionals. **Requirements:** * **Education:** Completed elementary school. * **Experience:** Proven experience as a bricklayer (general or specialized in masonry, finishing or structural work). * **Desirable Knowledge:** * Reading and interpretation of blueprints. * Leveling and plumb techniques. * Types of mortar and concrete. * Occupational safety regulations. **Behavioral Competencies:** * Responsibility and commitment to deadlines and quality. * Attention to detail. * Teamwork. * Organization and care for the workplace. * Effective communication with supervisors and colleagues. **Working Conditions:** * Work on construction sites, subject to weather conditions. * Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Working hours according to civil construction working schedule.
