**Mission** The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting the chef, cooks, and kitchen team in all activities related to food preparation and plating. This position requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. The Kitchen Assistant must be willing to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with the team. You will also be tasked with ensuring the customer receives food that meets high standards of hygiene and safety. **Daily Routine** * Assist in ingredient preparation and processing according to recipes and the chef’s instructions; * Cut, chop, and measure ingredients, ensuring accuracy and quality; * Keep the workstation clean and organized, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils; * Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment as required; * Support plating and finalization of dishes, following established standards; * Assist with general tasks such as preparing side dishes, decorating plates, and others; * Help manage and organize food inventory, ensuring products remain fresh and within their expiration dates; * Notify the chef or supervisor when ingredients need replenishment; * Strictly adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices to prevent contamination and ensure food safety; * Participate in training on safety and hygiene practices when required. Requirements: * Completed or ongoing high school education; * Prior experience in a kitchen or similar role is desirable but not mandatory. **Competencies** * Strong ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail; * Ability to work well in a team and under pressure; * Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is an advantage; * Strong ability to work under pressure; * Sense of urgency; * Interpersonal skills; * Commitment to quality standards and presentation.
