Job Description: Air Conditioning Mechanic We are looking for a **qualified and experienced Air Conditioning Mechanic** to join our team. The professional will be responsible for the installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments. Main Responsibilities * Perform the **installation** and **configuration** of new air conditioning units and HVAC systems. * Carry out **preventive maintenance**, including cleaning filters, coils, and drain pans, checking refrigerant charge levels, and conducting general component inspections. * Diagnose and resolve **defects** and **failures** (corrective maintenance) in air conditioning systems of various models and capacities (e.g., *splits*, *VRF*, *chillers*). * Perform **repairs** and replacement of components such as compressors, fans, electronic boards, thermostats, and expansion valves. * Charge and recover refrigerant fluids, following environmental and safety regulations (best practices). * Prepare **technical reports** detailing performed services, including diagnoses, repairs, and parts used. * Ensure **safety** throughout all work procedures by using personal protective equipment (PPE). Essential Requirements * **Proven experience** as an Air Conditioning Mechanic, preferably with **HVAC** systems. * **Technical education** in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electrotechnics, or related fields. * Solid knowledge of **electricity** and **electrical diagrams** of air conditioning systems. * Ability to work with specific **tools** and **equipment** used in the field (manometers, multimeters, vacuum gauges, vacuum pumps, etc.). * Possession of a valid **National Driver's License (CNH)**, category B. * Availability for **travel** or working at different locations as required. * **Attention to detail**, organization, and ability to follow technical and safety procedures. Advantageous Qualifications (Not Required, but Valued) * Certifications or training in **VRF/VRV** or **Chiller** systems. * Knowledge of **automation** and **controls** for HVAC systems. * Experience in repair cost estimation and budgeting.
