About the opportunity At CI\&T, we are opening an unprecedented AI Engineer position within our dedicated client operation. This is a senior role, equivalent to a Software Architect, focused on redefining how we build software in the era of agentic AI. You will be the technical authority on AI-assisted development methods, defining standards, tools, and processes applicable across a diverse stack (iOS, Android, Java BFF) and scalable to high-complexity teams. What you’ll do Be responsible for the squad’s technical delivery, ensuring quality, predictability, and adherence to architectural standards Lead technical refinement with the product team, translating business needs into feasible and well-scoped solutions Support squad backlog organization, prioritizing technical debt, architectural risks, and AI automation opportunities Lead the adoption and evolution of agentic development tools (Claude Code as a priority) across multidisciplinary squads Define and disseminate AI-assisted development methods — with Spec\-Driven Development (Spec\-Kit, BMAD) as the foundation — adapting the lifecycle to each product’s context Design and implement agentic processes across the entire engineering workflow: AI-powered code review, test generation and maintenance, AI-assisted refactoring, living documentation, PR automation Act as a systems architect with an AI lens: evaluate trade\-offs, propose integration patterns between agents and services, ensure consistency across iOS, Android, and BFF Mentor engineers, elevating the team’s maturity in AI-assisted engineering What we expect from you Essential Deep hands-on experience with agentic development tools — particularly Claude Code Mastery of Spec\-Driven Development (Spec\-Kit and/or BMAD) and ability to adapt the lifecycle to real-world product contexts Keen systemic vision — capable of seeing architecture, dependencies, and cross-team impacts Experience leading technical teams across disciplines (iOS, Android, BFF/Java) Experience conducting technical refinement and backlog organization in partnership with Product Owners Proven track record of direct responsibility for squads’ technical delivery Established expertise in agentic processes applied to development (AI-powered code review, QA agents, pipeline automations) Up-to-date knowledge of emerging agentic workflows and ability to adapt them to operational reality Availability You must be available to work onsite at the client location in São Paulo several days per week.
