Electromechanical Technician

Description

Execution of Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment and installations. Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and catalogs for fault diagnosis. Disassemble, repair, assemble, test, and replace electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to correct failures. Inspection and Adjustments: Conduct periodic inspections to verify the condition of equipment, control panels, and electrical distribution boards. Perform adjustments and calibrations on equipment, motors, control panels, and installations. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance within established deadlines. Complete preventive and corrective maintenance checklists and forms. Prepare detailed technical reports documenting diagnosed faults, root causes, parts used, and services performed. Assist in the installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and machinery. Perform electrical modifications on motor control panels (MCPs), including systems with star\-delta starters, soft\-starters, and frequency inverters. Conduct electrical technical inspections on control panels and other installations. Maintain tools, instruments, and materials, avoiding waste and acting in accordance with the company's sustainability principles. Respond to requests and perform other duties relevant to the position, as directed by supervision. Technical education in Electromechanics. Knowledge: Principles of electricity, automation, and mechanics applied to pumps; familiarity with PLCs. Interpretation of electrical and mechanical diagrams. Operation and maintenance of electric motors, starting systems (direct-on-line, star\-delta, soft\-starter), frequency inverters, and electromechanical components. Safety standards for electrical installations and work (e.g., NR\-10). Metrology and use of testing instruments (multimeter, megohmmeter, etc.).
