Our Story – AmazonCred
On November 7, 2006, we—a group of regional visionaries—founded AmazonCred, a Civil Society Organization for Public Interest (OSCIP) dedicated to the human, socioeconomic, and cultural development of the Amazon. Our mission is to empower small entrepreneurs and family farmers by providing microcredit and management techniques to strengthen local businesses and drive sustainable transformation.
In 2007, we celebrated our first Partnership Agreement and inaugurated our first Microfinance Unit in Ananindeua, pioneering access to inclusive financial services for low-income populations. Today, we celebrate 19 years of positive impact in the region, transforming lives and strengthening the local economy.
