Your key responsibilities: We seek a Software Asset Specialist to manage the FlexNet tool; Serve as the focal point between DXC and the client’s operational team; Contribute to the strategy and operational plan for software asset management; Identify improvements and resolve software management issues using FlexNet; Facilitate continuous process improvement and root cause analysis to reduce software-related problems, failures, procurement, licensing, and client audit issues; Assist in application discovery and ensure license compliance across all applications and dependencies within the migration scope; * Responsible for evaluating and managing various license types and software licensing applications; * Support software compliance; * Conduct hardware and software asset-related research; * Record and/or ensure recording of new Assets/Configuration Items. What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field. SaaS management, publisher deployments, and license reconciliation. Familiarity with best practices and tools for Software/License Asset Management. Provide data mining and analysis to maintain metrics and dashboards that guide visibility into software usage, expirations, number of licenses held, and other relevant statistics as needed. IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT), Oracle Hybrid and SAS, Microsoft, Red Hat, Veeam, and VMware — these have a moderate impact on established IT business processes related to Software Asset Management. Knowledge of licensing rules from major vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, Autodesk, VMware, and others. Understanding of contracts, usage, applications, and measurement of software in general. Experience with FlexNet Manager Suite and Flexera One. Significant experience in the IT industry. Experience with PC Audit Tool(s) or similar applications. License management, FlexNet, finance. Advanced English (strong written and spoken communication skills in English). Desirable: Spanish.
