You will be part of a strategic technology transformation project for a leading healthcare group, leading the migration from a legacy environment based on SQL Server and SSIS to a modern **Databricks Lakehouse** architecture on **Microsoft Azure**. More than building solutions, we seek a technical reference who can define architectures, make strategic decisions, guide engineering teams, and support building a scalable, modern, and future-ready data platform. ### **Your responsibilities** * Lead technical initiatives for large-scale data modernization and migration. * Define data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse and Microsoft Azure. * Assess legacy environments and define optimal migration, refactoring, or workload retirement strategies. * Design modern data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and orchestration strategies. * Establish architectural standards, data quality, governance, and engineering best practices. * Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the migration process. * Collaborate closely with architects, Data Engineers, Databricks specialists, and client teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. * Serve as the project’s technical reference, supporting architectural decisions and mentoring other engineers. * Contribute to automation initiatives and leverage Artificial Intelligence to accelerate migration processes. ### **What we expect from you** * Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Architect, or in technical leadership roles within Data Engineering. * Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including T\-SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures, SQL Agent Jobs, and legacy environments. * Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architectures. * Experience with Microsoft Azure (ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, AKS, and related services). * Experience in data platform migration, modernization, or transformation projects. * Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and workflow orchestration. * Ability to make architectural decisions and serve as a technical reference for cross-functional teams. * Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and global teams. * Advanced English proficiency. ### **Nice-to-have** * Experience with Apache Airflow or Databricks Workflows. * Experience migrating large-scale SSIS environments. * Knowledge of Oracle, PySpark, Sqoop, or Hadoop ecosystems. * Experience with automated migration tools and Artificial Intelligence applied to code conversion. * Certifications in Databricks, Azure, or related Data Engineering domains. ### **Why join CI\&T?** At CI\&T, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a high-impact project, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to transform a complex corporate environment into a modern, scalable, and data-driven platform.
