Job Summary: At Yaki Sushi, the cashier is the final touchpoint of customer service, responsible for the first impression, weighing, item registration, financial operations, customer service, support, and area cleanliness in a dynamic food court environment. Full financial operations, including payments and cash register closing. At **Yaki Sushi**, the cashier serves as the final touchpoint of service—and often forms the customer’s first impression at the buffet. As the unit is located in a shopping mall food court, the work is dynamic and demands speed. Below are the main responsibilities: **1\. Weighing and Registration (Buffet/Self\-Service)** * **Scale Management:** The primary task is to weigh customers’ plates, ensuring the correct per-kilogram price is applied. * **Registration of Additional Items:** Record beverages, desserts, or à la carte orders (such as specific combos or temakis) that do not pass through the scale. **2\. Financial Operations** * **Payment Processing:** Operate card machines (credit/debit), accept PIX payments, and handle cash transactions. * **Meal Vouchers:** Meal vouchers (e.g., Ticket, Sodexo, Alelo) are commonly used; familiarity with the system is essential to process them error-free. * **Opening and Closing Procedures:** Responsible for verifying the float at the start of the shift and performing cash register closing (cash withdrawals and reconciliation) at the end. **3\. Customer Service** * **Loyalty Promotion:** Inform customers about daily promotions or the chain’s loyalty programs. * **Queue Management:** During peak hours, must act swiftly to prevent buffet lines from obstructing food court traffic flow. * **Ticket Distribution:** For on-the-spot orders (hot dishes or combos), the cashier issues tickets and informs customers of estimated wait times. **4\. Support and Area Cleanliness** * **Counter Organization:** Maintain a clean, organized cashier area stocked with napkins, soy sauce sachets, and chopsticks (hashi). * **Suggestive Selling:** Recommend beverages or add-ons to increase average transaction value. **Desired Profile** * **Numerical Agility:** To quickly verify change and weights. * **Cordiality:** Ability to interact effectively with shopping mall patrons, many of whom are in a hurry. * **Attention to Detail:** Avoid registration errors that may cause financial loss or customer complaints. **Work Schedule: 6x1 (one day off per week). Working hours: 2:00 PM to 10:20 PM. Flexibility in schedule required.** After the probationary period, the professional will receive a R$ 220.00 meal voucher.
