Job Summary: Responsible for performing immunohematological tests, evaluating and releasing blood components, monitoring transfusion reactions, and ensuring regulatory compliance in the blood bank. Technical support to nursing staff and requesting departments Responsibilities: Perform immunohematological tests (ABO/Rh typing, direct/indirect Coombs test, antibody panel, crossmatch, among others). Evaluate and release blood components for transfusion, ensuring safety and traceability. Monitor and follow up on transfusion reactions, conducting laboratory investigations when necessary. Verify, store, and manage blood component inventory. Record all activities in laboratory information systems and medical records, in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure procedures comply with current legislation (ANVISA, applicable RDCs, Ministry of Health). Participate in training sessions, internal audits, and continuous improvement activities. Provide technical support to nursing staff and departments requesting transfusions. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science. Active registration with CRBM (Regional Council of Biomedical Sciences). Prior experience in a hospital laboratory (preferred). Proficiency in laboratory techniques and biosafety standards. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and clinical analyses. Knowledge and expertise in blood banking and blood transfusion.
