Assistance in network administration and implementation of IT projects The IT Assistant is responsible for providing technical support to users, performing equipment maintenance, and assisting in implementing information technology solutions. This professional works collaboratively to efficiently resolve issues and contribute to the proper functioning of the company's systems and IT infrastructure. * Provide user support via on-site visits, telephone, or ticketing system * Install, configure, and update software and operating systems on company equipment * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on computers, printers, and other IT devices * Assist in network administration, including configuration of routers, switches, and internet access * Participate in IT project implementation, following guidance from the IT manager * Perform data backups and ensure information security, adhering to company security policies * Support IT asset management, tracking equipment inventory and software licenses * Collaborate on documentation of procedures and user manuals for IT systems and equipment * Stay updated on emerging technologies and market trends to continuously improve knowledge * Perform other related duties as required and directed by the immediate supervisor **Technical Competencies (Hard Skills):** * Hardware support (assembly, maintenance, and diagnostics of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals) * Operating systems (installation, configuration, and support for Windows; familiarity with Linux) * Networks and infrastructure (structured cabling, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) * Office suite and productivity software (including email/Outlook support) * Information security (antivirus, backups, patches, and best practices for data protection) Active Directory (user creation, password resets, and permissions) * **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of ITIL + Familiarity with Cloud Computing (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS) + Technical English for reading documentation
