**SIMPLIFIED SELECTION PROCESS – NURSING TECHNICIAN (NEONATAL ICU)**
The Piauí Association for Habilitation, Rehabilitation, and Readaptation – ASSOCIAÇÃO REABILITAR, registered under CNPJ No. 07\.995\.466/0004\-66 – Branch, located at Av. Presidente Kennedy, No. 1160, Morada do Sol neighborhood, ZIP Code 64\.056\-375, Teresina (PI), is a non-profit social organization with private legal personality, recognized as a public utility and socially beneficial entity by State Decree No. 12\.286/06 and Municipal Decree No. 14\.526/14\.
**CLAUSE ONE – OBJECT OF THE PROCESS**
**1\.1** Associação Reabilitar, through this Notice, publicly announces the opening of the Simplified Selection Process aimed at hiring a professional for the position of **Nursing Technician (Neonatal ICU)** to work in the New Dona Evangelina Rosa Maternity Hospital Project – NMDER in Teresina – PI.
**CLAUSE TWO – MAIN DUTIES OF THE POSITION**
* Provide specialized assistance to newborns with good vitality or those in critical condition requiring ventilatory support, continuous monitoring, or other types of intensive care;
* Promote early breastfeeding to facilitate immediate mother-baby contact after delivery, avoiding unnecessary interventions that interfere with this interaction during the first hours of life.
* Skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding should be encouraged within the first hour of life, except for mothers who are HIV- or HTLV-positive;
* Safely identify the newborn using a wristband containing the mother’s name, medical record number, date of birth, sex, and time of birth;
* Perform anthropometry, including weight, length, and head circumference;
* Monitor clinical progression of neonates, recording all interventions and changes in the electronic or physical medical record;
* Execute the nursing process and document entries in the electronic medical record;
* Monitor vital signs (oxygen saturation, pulse or heart rate, respiration, temperature, blood pressure) and apply pain assessment scales;
* Maintain patency of peripheral venous catheters, umbilical catheters, phlebotomy sites, or PICC lines (whichever the newborn has in place), per medical and nursing prescriptions, while continuously observing insertion sites for inflammatory signs or extravasation;
* Rotate continuous pulse oximetry sensors between upper and lower limbs (MMSS and MMII, respectively);
* Monitor orotracheal tube positioning and nasogastric/orogastric tubes;
* Administer enteral feeding via gavage, cup, or direct breastfeeding (per medical prescription);
* Maintain general newborn comfort (reduce lighting and noise; minimize handling by grouping care activities);
* Provide care for newborns in incubators and heated cribs;
* Place newborns in kangaroo position whenever possible;
* Ensure availability of necessary materials for neonatal resuscitation; test and keep them readily accessible prior to delivery;
* Operate neonatal monitoring equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators, incubators);
* Participate in periodic meetings and training sessions to update knowledge and techniques in neonatal care;
* Strictly adhere to institutional protocols regarding safety, infection control, unit hygiene, and all other applicable protocols;
* Ensure proper handling of equipment, medications, and medical devices used in the neonatal stabilization room.
**CLAUSE THREE – REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION**
* Completed Technical Nursing course;
* Minimum 6 months’ experience in Neonatal ICU, Level II NICU (UCINco), or Level III NICU (UCINca);
* Active registration with the Professional Council.
