Description

Provide and coordinate nursing care to patients within the care pathway under their responsibility. Manage care for these patients, prioritize urgent and emergency cases, and optimize access management. Ensure individualized, continuous, and safe patient treatment and contribute to rapid patient recovery and follow-up within their therapeutic plan. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Provide daily nursing care to patients within the care pathway under their responsibility, including: vital sign monitoring, medication preparation and administration, nursing assessments, feeding, hygiene, wound dressings, repositioning, implementation of the nursing care systematization, etc.; * Coordinate daily emergency and urgent care responses with speed, accuracy, and agility, ensuring the emergency cart is stocked with necessary medications, equipment appropriate for each type of situation, and qualified professionals to treat patients at risk of death; * Provide daily guidance to nurses, nursing technicians, and nursing assistants regarding complex patients, including their pathology and clinical condition, ensuring high-quality care and contributing to rapid patient recovery; * Weekly evaluate progress reports prepared by third parties, nursing prescriptions, and procedures performed, with a focus on nursing care quality; * Coordinate daily patient admission activities, reception, monitoring via equipment, oxygen therapy, and medications per medical prescription, vital sign data control, laboratory sample collection, etc.; * Contribute to controlling materials and medications required for unit operations. Maintain all equipment in perfect working condition and forward them for maintenance in case of damage; * Optimize and expedite daily patient examinations to obtain results promptly; * Accompany specific medical procedures, such as central catheter insertion, drains, urinary catheters, etc.; * Inform the unit physician of patient complications, such as changes in blood pressure, blood glucose, heart rate, and others; * Collaborate with the medical team in patient care: prepare vasoactive drugs, assist in invasive procedures (thoracic drainage, thoracentesis, central venous access puncture), perform upper airway suctioning, prepare drugs, and position patients during orotracheal intubation performed by the physician; * Jointly analyze, with Continuing Education and the Inpatient Unit Nurse, Clinical Care Indicators, Performance Indicators, and Process Indicators, proposing solutions and setting goals to align indicators with standards; * Participate, whenever summoned, in meetings related to institutional quality certification, acting as an effective communicator and multiplier of information and guidelines; * Manage/participate weekly in goal planning for the clinical units where their patients are located, during multidisciplinary meetings to define goals and improvement actions aligned with the institution’s strategic plan; * Participate in groups and committees according to criteria established by immediate supervision, such as EMTN, SCIH, Surgical Center Collegiate, SESMT, biosafety, reprocessing, and blood derivatives; * Provide pre- and post-operative guidance to patients and families, when applicable; * Actively participate daily in the Rapid Response Team within their units; * Attend periodic meetings with Nursing Supervision, Coordination, and Division for decision-making and information sharing; * Ensure daily Kanban updates; * Perform other duties pertinent to the role. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed undergraduate degree in Nursing; * Postgraduate specialization in clinical care; * Active COREN registration. **Additional Information** 12-hour shift schedule (12x36), from 07:00 to 19:00. The SRS will serve the DRSXVI Sorocaba region (48 municipalities) and 15 municipalities from the Mananciais and Rota dos Bandeirantes Health Regions, totaling a population of 5,412,200 inhabitants (IBGE – 2016), through the São Paulo State Health Services Regulation Center.
