Technical coordination and support to various departments and projects **Offshore Naval Structural Engineer** **Responsibilities:** * Serve as the technical engineering reference for the structural and naval systems design team, in compliance with applicable national and international standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures for offshore oil production plant engineering projects; * Prepare, review, and approve engineering technical documents for the structural and naval systems discipline, in compliance with applicable national and international standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures for offshore oil production plant engineering projects; * Issue technical opinions defining project priorities, deadlines, planning, and resource allocation for the structural and naval systems discipline, in compliance with applicable national and international standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures for offshore oil production plant engineering projects; * Conduct and issue technical visit reports to suppliers, contractors, partners, and offshore oil production units upon request, focusing on the structural and naval systems discipline; * Participate in Working Groups, Committees, Audits, Inspections, Hearings, and Meetings when requested; * Issue, approve, and review engineering technical documents applicable to the commissioning phase of projects, specifically for the structural and naval systems discipline, in compliance with applicable national and international standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures for offshore oil production plant engineering projects; * Monitor and provide technical support at the office, supplier sites, and operational areas during project implementation and commissioning phases, specifically for the structural and naval systems discipline, in compliance with applicable national and international standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures for offshore oil production plant engineering projects; Occasional assignment as Job Leader for the discipline in the absence of the position holder. * Plan both management and execution of commissioning, involving all departments interfacing with the activity (Operations, Contractors, Maintenance, SMS, etc.), requiring definition and detailing of key technical elements, baseline schedule, organizational structure, and resources required for commissioning execution; * Provide all documentation related to receipt, assembly, and conditioning, as well as physical resources necessary for execution of the subsequent commissioning phase (Pre\-operation and Start\-up); * Identify equipment subject to Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), their monitoring conditions, and responsible personnel for overseeing respective tests; * Monitor equipment assembly, cleaning, inspection, and installation; * Verify compliance with regulatory standards; * Identify and record non\-blocking pending items; * Apply Checklists (CLs) or Item Verification Sheets (IVSs); * Continuously analyze designs to enhance constructability. **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. **Experience:** * Experience in structural and naval systems engineering projects, with emphasis on offshore oil processing unit projects (new builds or revamps). **Technical Competencies:** * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft TEAMS, Power BI, SAP S/4HANA, Ansys Mechanical/Workbench (and/or DNV GeniE and/or Siemens FEMAP \& NX Nastran), Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk AutoCAD, Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation, Intergraph Smart 3D, and Intergraph Smart Review. English proficiency sufficient for reading, comprehension, and speaking to perform the following tasks: interaction with suppliers, contractors, and partners; training/courses; software usage; interpretation and application of standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures.
