Job Summary: Lead the evolution of strategic products within Grupo Primo's educational arm, combining engineering leadership, architectural vision, and delivery pragmatism. Key Highlights: 1. Strategic engineering leadership in education 2. Architecture evolution and AI-driven development acceleration 3. Team management, roadmap planning, and continuous process improvement You will work within Grupo Primo's educational arm, leading the evolution of three strategic initiatives: Finclass, TopInvest, and MyHub. These are products at different maturity stages — ranging from established platforms to new initiatives under development — presenting challenges including squad organization, roadmap prioritization, architecture evolution, and AI-powered acceleration of the SDLC. We seek someone who combines engineering leadership, architectural vision, and delivery pragmatism to help structure teams and scale development capacity. **Position Information** **Work Model:** On-site in Alphaville **Reports To:** Head of Software Engineering **Initial Structure:** \~4 squads, approximately 10 people total **Responsibilities:** * Backlog management and delivery (core) * Structuring and organizing squads (roles, responsibilities, rituals, cadence, and dependencies). * Managing backlog and prioritization jointly with Product and Business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and team capacity. * Monitoring planning and execution (quarterly/sprint-based), increasing delivery predictability and transparency. * Reducing rework and increasing team throughput through continuous process improvement. * Evolving team agile practices (Scrum/Kanban; references such as SAFe or LeSS where appropriate). * Ensuring delivery quality through: * A clear Definition of Done * Technical debt management * Well-defined acceptance criteria * Basic observability * Engineering discipline **Architecture and Solutions** Support technical solution design and validation, serving as a reference for architectural decisions. Collaborate with the team to define pragmatic architectural, integration, and best-practice standards (e.g., APIs, events, integrations, etc.). Identify technical bottlenecks and propose improvements related to:* Performance * Reliability * Costs * System evolvability **Applied AI (Product and Engineering)** Advance AI usage across the development lifecycle (SDLC), including:* Copilots and agents * AI-assisted development patterns * Automated code review * Test and documentation generation * Supporting AI-powered features and automations, including initiatives using n8n, LangChain, and integrations with language models. * Defining minimum practices for security, privacy, and quality evaluation of AI applications in production. **Preferred Qualifications** Experience in environments with products at varying maturity stages (discovery to scale). Hands-on experience with heterogeneous tech stacks (e.g., Java, Node.js, integrations, and automations). Practical experience with n8n, LangChain, or LLM-based architectures (RAG, agents, tools, observability, and guardrails). Experience defining engineering metrics (lead time, cycle time, quality, incidents) and indicator-driven management routines. **What We Expect in the First 6 Months** * Squads with clearly defined roles, rituals, and responsibilities; structured backlogs; and a functioning prioritization flow. * Increased delivery predictability and transparency, with visibility into capacity, trade\-offs, and dependencies. * A lightweight architecture validation process, reducing rework and accelerating technical decisions. * Initial concrete advancements in AI usage within the SDLC and/or in AI-powered automations and features, with foundational governance practices in place. Requirements: **Requirements:** * Experience leading engineering teams or squads, including coordination, prioritization, and delivery management. * Solid background in system architecture and solutions, with ability to discuss technical trade\-offs. * Prior hands-on programming experience (not necessarily current), with sufficient technical fluency to discuss design and implementation with developers. * Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban; familiarity with SAFe or LeSS is a plus). * Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating problems into actionable plans and clear decisions. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in environments with products at varying maturity stages (discovery to scale). * Hands-on experience with heterogeneous tech stacks (e.g., Java, Node.js, integrations, and automations). * Practical experience with n8n, LangChain, or LLM-based architectures (RAG, agents, tools, observability, and guardrails). * Experience defining engineering metrics (lead time, cycle time, quality, incidents) and indicator-driven management routines.
