




Job Summary: Perform nursing procedures and care for critically ill patients, ensuring the quality of care provided and patient safety in clinical and surgical settings. Key Highlights: 1. Work in critical areas and provision of individualized care in ICUs/clinics Perform nursing procedures and care for patients of the Institution undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, involving technical-level activities aimed at ensuring the quality of care provided and patient safety. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform nursing procedures and care for critically ill patients of the Institution undergoing clinical or surgical treatment; * Implement preventive measures for identified risks based on the Institution's established protocols; * Record relevant information regarding patients under one's responsibility, ensuring safety and continuity of treatment; * Participate in the surgical process, including verifying the surgical schedule, inspecting the operating room, checking surgical kits, receiving and transferring patients to the operating table, implementing preoperative precautions, setting up the operating table, assisting during surgery itself, transferring the patient to the post-anesthesia recovery room, and preparing the operating room for the next surgery; * Organize the anesthesia process in operating rooms, including arranging materials, anesthetic medications, and necessary equipment; transferring the patient from the stretcher to the operating table; assisting during anesthesia administration; and participating in the anesthesia process for patients undergoing cardiac surgery, which requires special care, time, equipment, instruments, and medications; * Provide individualized care to critically ill patients admitted to ICUs or clinics; * Collect and/or forward tests requested by physicians; * Verify medical and nursing prescriptions, signing and stamping them; * Assist in performing medical procedures such as chest drainage, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, intracath insertion, etc., by assembling specific materials for these procedures to stabilize hemodynamic parameters; * Instruct visitors during visiting hours about hand hygiene and its importance in preventing infections among patients under one's care; * Monitor material and medication expenditures as well as their expiration dates, aiming to prevent waste; * Assist nurses and/or physicians in performing invasive procedures and supply required materials; * Work in critical areas, providing care to patients with greater severity and those using invasive devices; * Check and replenish supplies on ICU bed panels, such as gauze, catheters, suction equipment, sterile gloves, Ambu bags, etc.; * Verify trays assembled for urgent procedures, date them, and replenish missing items; * Inspect the emergency cart and test the defibrillator daily; * Perform other activities as needed or at the discretion of the unit nurse; * Admit patients to the unit together with the nurse, receiving admission forms and medical records, directing patients to their beds and identifying them—including their medication bins; * Participate in shift handovers bed-to-bed, communicating important information to colleagues alongside the entire nursing team; * Participate in planning nursing care; * Actively participate in the risk management program, preventing errors and harm to patients under one's care; upon identifying such issues, immediately inform the responsible nurse, implement interventions to minimize risk, and document in the prescription; * Perform all nursing actions except those exclusively reserved for registered nurses, per the General Nursing Procedures Manual; * Participate in discharge planning for patients, jointly with the nurse, providing guidance to patients and their companions regarding care and devices, if necessary. * Verify ideal conditions for patient referral in the preoperative phase of surgeries; promptly respond to verbal requests or call bell alerts from inpatients; * Safely administer medications, preventing patient harm; knowing High-Alert Medications; * Maintain cleanliness of the unit and report nonconformities to the hygiene service; * Maintain and preserve unit equipment and materials; report equipment needs or withdrawal due to disuse to the equipment center; * Keep patient medical records and documents organized; * Notify the nurse regarding repairs, maintenance, or missing equipment in the unit; * Participate in defining the daily order of individual patient supplies. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Completed technical nursing course; * Active COREN registration; * Intermediate-level computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. **SPDM** – Paulista Association for the Development of Medicine is a nonprofit, philanthropic civil association, recognized as being of federal, state, and municipal public utility (in its headquarters city), respectively by Decrees No. 57.925 dated 03/04/1966, No. 40.103 dated 05/17/1962, and No. 8.911 dated 07/30/1970. It was inaugurated on March 30, 2012, managed by OSS-SPDM – Paulista Association for the Development of Medicine, pursuant to the Management Contract signed on September 30, 2011, with the São Paulo State Department of Health. **Outpatient Clinic** The Mogi das Cruzes Specialized Medical Outpatient Clinic serves as a regional reference for the Alto Tietê region, which has a population of 2.5 million people—70% (1.7 million) of whom rely on SUS, covering 11 municipalities: Arujá, Biritiba Mirim, Ferraz de Vasconcelos, Guararema, Guarulhos, Itaquaquecetuba, Mogi das Cruzes, Poá, Salesópolis, Santa Isabel, and Suzano. With a built area of 2,550 m² across two floors, it includes medical consultation rooms, a minor procedures room, a recovery room, dressing rooms, and examination rooms. Since its inauguration, the SPECIALIZED MEDICAL OUTPATIENT CLINIC – AME MOGI DAS CRUZES has pursued excellence in public health services, acting with commitment to social responsibility, transparency, and efficiency in outpatient management. Care is delivered by a qualified multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing optimal patient care with humanization. Outpatient services are intended for internal demand and users referred by Primary Health Care Units. It does not serve walk-in or emergency cases.
