




Job Description: We are seeking a professional to work as a Certification Specialist at Norcoast’s Santos branch. This professional will directly support the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) in maintaining the fleet’s legal and regulatory compliance, with a focus on monitoring certifications, non-conformity (NC) deadlines, audits, and ISM Code obligations. Act as technical-administrative support to ensure documentation remains up-to-date and compliant with international, national, and flag-state requirements. Responsibilities and Duties * Monitor vessel compliance with the ISM Code, international regulations, and flag-state requirements. * Track expiration and renewal deadlines for mandatory certificates of vessels and the office. * ISM, ISPS, and MLC responsibilities lie jointly with the DPA and the Certification Specialist; statutory certificates are shared with the Area Superintendent. * Assist in organizing and tracking deadlines for Non-Conformities (NCs) identified during audits. * Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits. * Support communication with maritime authorities, classification societies, and shipowners. * Update control systems with audit status, certificate status, and action plans. * Archive certificates and compliance evidence digitally and physically. * Monitor certificate expiry alerts and support crew in maintaining onboard documentation. Requirements and Qualifications * Completed technical or undergraduate degree in Nautical Sciences, Maritime Administration, Naval Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum of 2 years of administrative or technical experience in the maritime sector, preferably with exposure to audit or certification processes. * Knowledge of the ISM Code and international legal requirements (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC). * Familiarity with Brazilian regulations (NORMAM and relevant NRs). * Knowledge of safety management systems and internal audit practices. * Familiarity with risk analysis tools and incident investigation methodologies. * Intermediate English (spoken and written), particularly for audits and official communications. 2512170202551870625
