**About the opportunity:**
We are seeking an **Occupational Safety Technician** to identify and assess environmental hazards, propose preventive and corrective actions, and conduct training and onboarding sessions. Work continuously to promote employee health, safety, and physical integrity, ensuring a safe workplace compliant with current legislation.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conduct accident investigations, prepare reports, and manage the issuance and tracking of Accident Communication Forms (CAT);
* Support identification of job positions and situations with potential occupational hazards, and suggest mitigation actions;
* Maintain up-to-date legal occupational health and safety programs and documents (LTCAT, PGR, PCMSO, CIPA, AVCB, technical reports for boilers, pressure vessels, and piping);
* Manage and control fire-fighting equipment and supervise the civilian firefighting team;
* Control and update safety spreadsheets, systems, and documentation (Excel, SharePoint, Enablon);
* Administer occupational medicine routines, including medical examination tracking, ASOs, and related documentation;
* Conduct routine or specific inspections;
* Manage inventory, distribution, and registration of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring compliance and traceability;
* Conduct Daily Safety Talks (DDS), onboarding training, refresher courses, certificate issuance, and training recordkeeping;
* Monitor legal requirements and mandatory certifications (NR-10, NR-10 SEP, boiler operator courses, fire brigade training, MOPP, pest control, emergency plans, etc.);
* Visit clients to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations;
* Monitor occupational health and safety policies applied to service providers, including document verification and onboarding;
* Assist in organizing internal events related to safety and health;
* Supervise the SESMET team.
**Requirements:**
* Completed Technical Degree in Occupational Safety
* Proven experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) routines
* Experience with OHS documentation (PGR, PCMSO, PPP, ASO, technical reports)
* Knowledge of Regulatory Standards (NRs)
* Active registration with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Additional certifications such as Civil Firefighter and Training Instructor
