The team you will join is responsible for managing health, safety, and environmental aspects for Whirlpool employees and contractors within the Rio Claro plant operations. **Summary of this role** ----------------------- As a Work Safety Engineer, you will coordinate the work safety technicians and industrial firefighters team, assisting in developing area standards and procedures, ensuring implementation of SSO programs, advancing the expansion of the WCM Safety pillar, complying with Management Policy, Organizational Goals, and technical standards, and promoting continuous improvement of the management system. **Your responsibilities will include** ------------------------------------ * Advise different company departments on projects, assessments, and training related to occupational safety; * Assist in developing the Risk Management Program (PGR) and other programs in collaboration with occupational medicine; * Advise and carry out activities related to Occupational Health and Safety, aiming to reduce and eliminate environmental risks, preserve the health and physical integrity of all employees and contractors, and protect company assets against losses from accidents; * Manage area budget; * People management; * Review civil construction and industrial installation projects to ensure compliance with legal safety regulations; * Study and implement fire protection systems and develop emergency plans; * Analyze accidents, investigate causes, and propose corrective and preventive measures; * Define technical specifications for personal protective equipment used in the unit; * Monitor progress of Occupational Safety indicators and propose plans focused on continuous improvement; * Lead the occupational safety technicians and industrial firefighters team; * Implement Safety steps in areas under your responsibility; * Coordinate campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing knowledge and awareness of safety aspects. **Minimum requirements** ---------------------- * Completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety; * Active and regular CREA registration; * At least 4 years of experience as a Work Safety Engineer and in people leadership; * Intermediate English; * Knowledge of Google Workspace. **Desired skills and experiences** ----------------------------------------- * Experience with WCM methodology; * Knowledge of NEXO and Gensuite systems; * Prior experience as a Safety Technician; * Background in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. **What we offer** -------------------- * Access to the Recreational Club available for employee members and guests; * Discounts on products through Compra Certa; * Gympass; * Employee Assistance Program offering 24-hour support with legal, social, financial professionals, social workers, and psychologists; * Childcare or nursery assistance at the facility for female employees; * Benefits such as payroll or social loans, health, dental, life insurance, and private pension aligned with market standards; * On-site services: cafeteria, internal banking agency, and lactation room; * Transportation allowance or parking; * Meals on site; * After 5 years with the company, eligible employees may take four weeks of paid leave; * Extended maternity/paternity leave. * Learn more at https://www.whirlpoolcareers.com/work-with-us-in-brazil/ **Additional information** -------------------------- This position is located in Rio Claro, situated two hours from the city of São Paulo in a major industrial corridor of the state.
