In a collaborative environment, they constantly pursue excellence in technology and innovation. **Job Description** **The Logistics Intelligence Team** To tackle complex, highly scalable challenges, the Logistics Intelligence Team focuses on developing mathematical models and algorithms for decision automation, leveraging foundations from mathematics, computer science, and statistics. We are seeking an Optimization Analyst to join our team and contribute to developing data-driven solutions for Magalu's logistics operations. **Responsibilities:** Work on optimization projects, participating in the full solution development lifecycle (from modeling to production deployment). **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. * Master's degree in Operations Research: expertise in linear, nonlinear, combinatorial, mixed-integer, robust, and/or stochastic optimization. * Knowledge of algorithmic complexity. * Programming experience in Python, C\+\+ or Java. * Solid database knowledge (BigQuery). * Experience implementing (end-to-end) optimization-based solutions using solvers such as CPLEX, Gurobi, XPRESS, HIGHs or OR\-Tools and/or developing heuristic algorithms (Genetic Algorithms, Tabu Search, etc). * Ability to learn quickly and curiosity to deeply understand how solutions work. * Demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts clearly across different contexts. * Ability to clearly understand optimization problem requirements and constraints, and act proactively. * Basic experience and understanding of software architecture, including consuming/integrating APIs (e.g., FastAPI) for data exchange with external platforms. **Preferred Qualifications** * PhD in Operations Research / Combinatorial Optimization * Experience in the Retail sector. * Knowledge of Agile methodologies * Knowledge of predictive analytics and/or simulation techniques * Experience in modeling, developing, and deploying optimization solutions for large-scale logistics optimization problems. **What Is the Work Environment Like?** At Luizalabs, we enjoy high autonomy and responsibility, operate as multidisciplinary, self-managed teams, and minimize bureaucracy in our daily work.
