BASF’s unique ability to integrate all three areas helps its customers achieve greater success. ***About the department*** We provide advanced maintenance and reliability solutions for the automotive catalysts business in South America, operating in a highly automated environment equipped with cutting-edge technology—offering unique opportunities for professionals passionate about innovation and digital transformation. Our team leads critical safety initiatives, drives innovation and process improvement projects aligned with business unit needs, and collaborates closely with other Operations departments. Additionally, we are responsible for maintaining technical and documentary records of daily activities, actively participating in incident analysis and investigation, and proposing and implementing continuous improvements throughout the production process—ensuring efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. ***Candidate*** You will be responsible for leading and developing the technical maintenance team, ensuring high performance and employee engagement. You will define and implement the site’s maintenance strategy in alignment with local leadership, ensuring sustainability of actions and continuous process improvement. Your responsibilities include managing contracts and third-party teams, monitoring utility consumption, administering the budget, and tracking key maintenance indicators (MTTR, MTBF, availability). A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is required. Experience in team management and SAP knowledge (PM module) are mandatory. Experience with IATF 16949 standard is considered a plus. Intermediate English proficiency is required. **Join the Production team at BASF Catalysts!**
