CCTV Installation Technician

Description

Responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic security systems, with a primary focus on closed-circuit television (CCTV). Their mission is to ensure monitoring systems operate at maximum efficiency, guaranteeing asset security and the integrity of recorded data. System Installation: Mount cameras (analog, digital/IP, Speed Domes), run structured cabling (coaxial, UTP/network, fiber optic), and install mounting infrastructure (trunking, conduits, cable trays). Equipment Configuration: Configure recorders (DVR, NVR, HVR), switches, routers, and video management software (VMS), as well as perform port forwarding for remote access via smartphones and computers. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct periodic tests, clean lenses, adjust focus, verify power supplies, check hard disk drive (HDD) integrity, and update firmware. Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose system failures (video loss, poor connections, component burnout), replace defective equipment, and restore signal and storage as quickly as possible. Customer Support: Guide end users on basic system operation, such as exporting image reports and operating applications. Technical Documentation: Prepare site visit reports, complete service orders (OS), and update installation layouts or technical diagrams. **Requirements and Qualifications** Completed high school education. A technical course in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Computer Networks, or Telecommunications is considered a strong advantage. Proven prior experience in security system installation. Valid Brazilian driver's license category B (frequently required for travel to client sites).
