We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in architectural patterns, capable of designing scalable and sustainable solutions, who enjoys experimenting with new solutions, frameworks, and approaches—and who acts as both the guardian of technical quality and a source of inspiration for the engineering team. If you want to contribute to an environment of excellence—learning and developing people while tackling highly complex challenges—we want to meet you! **Responsibilities:** * Lead technical references across stacks (backend, frontend, mobile, and QA), promoting technical alignment, long-term vision, and continuous development. * Serve as the guardian of technical quality across Zig, enabling squads through architecture reviews, structural decisions, technical planning, and support on critical projects. * Act as the technical arm of engineering leadership, helping build strategies to scale products, technology, and teams safely and sustainably. * Code when necessary—especially for proof-of-concepts, shared frameworks, or foundational architecture. * Ensure the technical evolution of platforms and products aligns with the company’s strategic objectives. * Create and maintain technical standards, engineering best practices, code review processes, and technical learning rituals. * Foster an environment of excellence, autonomy, and growth for all engineers at Zig. **Required Qualifications:** * Solid experience as a technical reference in product-focused or large-scale companies, with a proven track record of technical leadership across multiple teams. * Deep technical expertise in distributed systems architecture, APIs, messaging, microservices, security, CI/CD, and engineering best practices. * Ability to integrate technical decisions across domains: backend (Node + TypeScript + PostgreSQL), frontend (React + TypeScript), mobile (Android Native Kotlin + Flutter). * Experience developing high-quality software with senior engineering teams. * Ability to navigate between strategy and execution—from product discussions to the final line of code in a foundational framework. * Clear communication, systemic thinking, and a collaborative mindset across multiple areas (product, data, design, business). Nice-to-Have: * Experience with complex integrations involving payment systems and physical devices (terminals, POS, etc.). * Contributions to technical communities, events, open-source projects, or relevant technical content. * Experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or building shared frameworks. * Experience working in environments with multiple autonomous squads and domain-driven architecture. * Experience with QA (automated testing, manual testing, usability testing, etc.)
