In this Staff Software Developer role, you will join the **Advertiser League**, whose mission is to evolve and sustain solutions so our advertisers achieve optimal performance across our portals and effectively manage their listings—driving innovation while consistently delivering the best customer experience within our tools. **On a day-to-day basis, you will:** * Act as the team’s technical reference, guiding architectural decisions and engineering best practices; * Develop end-to-end solutions for scalable, resilient, and high-throughput applications; * Participate in innovation and architecture evolution initiatives, focusing on efficiency, performance, and cost; * Provide technical support to other engineers, promoting continuous learning and technical excellence; * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical and business discovery; * Ensure quality, observability, and robustness throughout the software lifecycle. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What do you need?** * Deep professional experience with microservices architecture; * Backend development experience with Python, Node, or Kotlin; * Solid understanding of software architecture, development best practices, and cloud platforms (AWS); * Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architecture, including Kafka and AWS (SNS/SQS); * Hands-on experience operating and optimizing production-scale systems; * Rigorous attention to code quality and standardization, ensuring readability, scalability, and performance—including implementation of test routines and documentation; * Knowledge of agile practices such as Kanban, roles, ceremonies, and artifacts; * Ability to lead technical discussions, align squads and tribes, drive solutions, and make sound decisions at the tribe level; * Curiosity to explore and propose new technological paths and process improvements, always striving to enhance how the team works. **Nice-to-have differentiators:** * Experience with Java and Go; * Flexibility to work across multiple programming languages. **Additional Information** **More about OLX Group:** Operating in Brazil since 2010, OLX Group’s purpose is to empower people to achieve their dreams by reinventing consumption models.
