As a Software Engineer, you will design, code, test, and operate microservices that power iFood's core business logic. Furthermore, you will also help us build frameworks and tools for identifying performance bottlenecks (e.g., load testing, chaos engineering), measuring, monitoring, and optimizing our backend performance to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance—directly impacting the lives of millions of people every day! **Your Daily Menu** ----------------------- * Design, code, test, operate, and resolve production issues for services running on the cloud (especially AWS); * Participate in product evolution prioritization, always seeking maximum business value, with decisions grounded in data; * Face and solve scalability, maintainability, and reliability challenges **Ingredients We're Looking For** ----------------------------- * Passionate about software development, Object-Oriented and Functional programming; * Prior experience designing, developing, and maintaining microservices using Java, Kotlin, and/or Go; * Concepts of Automated Testing, Distributed Systems, and Secure Development; * Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, queries, and data modeling; * Knowledge of Linux, Infrastructure as Code, Networking, Docker, and Kubernetes; * Prior experience with applications supporting millions of transactions per day, 24/7; * Experience with asynchronous communication between services and concurrency challenges in distributed systems. **About Us** ------------- At iFood, we believe in the power of diversity to drive \#Innovation and achieve \#OutstandingResults.
