* Ensure correct classification, clearing, and allocation of receivables—including discounts, allowances, interest, penalties, returns, and other adjustments.
* Monitor payment terms, credit limits, and commercial conditions, adhering to internal policies and specific requirements of public contracts (e.g., purchase orders, settlements, order notes, etc., where applicable).
* Conduct structured collection activities, recording contact history, payment commitments, and agreements in SAP and other internal tools.
* Perform collections from public agencies, complying with applicable legislation, formal payment procedures, and administrative workflows (e.g., filing protocols, review and release timelines, documentary requirements).
* Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Billing, Bidding/Contracts, Legal, Customer Service) to resolve pending issues impacting collections from public contracts (e.g., invoice discrepancies, delivery issues, acceptance certificates, claim rejections).
* Maintain professional and ethical relationships with various public-sector stakeholders, strictly adhering to company conduct standards and applicable laws.
* Support periodic credit analysis and review of customers, based on payment history, registration data, financial documents, external credit reports, and internal indicators.
* Contribute to consistent application of the company’s credit policy, proposing justified adjustments or exceptions for specific cases—fully documented.
* Perform daily and periodic reconciliations of customer accounts and general ledger accounts.
* Support monthly closing processes, ensuring proper accounting for doubtful debt provisions, receivable write-offs, reclassifications, and necessary adjustments.
* Identify operational risks related to the accounts receivable process and propose mitigation actions and control improvements.
* Collaborate on standardization, documentation, and updating of departmental procedures, workflows, and work instructions.
* Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the area—such as delinquency rate, percentage of overdue amounts by maturity bracket, credit recovery rate, among others.
* Prepare management reports and analytical reviews for related departments.
* Provide qualified inputs for cash flow projections related to receivables.
* Serve as a technical reference in accounts receivable, credit, and collections, mentoring interns and analysts.
