Quality Control (QC) Coordinator

MAGNA EXECUTIVE SEARCH, in partnership with a multinational company located in the metropolitan region of Campinas/SP (RMC), is seeking: **Quality Control (QC) Coordinator** ***(100% on-site)*** **Mandatory requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (active CRQ registration). * Advanced English (mandatory). * Prior experience in QC laboratories, with strong focus on analytical instrumentation. * Proven people management experience. * Advanced knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography (GC\-MS, GC\-FID, HPLC\-MS, etc.) and spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, NIR, AA, ICP, and similar). * Demonstrated experience in analytical method development and validation, as well as equipment troubleshooting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. SAP (QM) user. * Flexibility in working hours to support operational shifts, including the possibility of remote and/or on-site work outside administrative hours (if required). * Residency in the region and mobility for 100% on-site work. *Desirable requirements:* * *Postgraduate degree / MBA in related fields.* * *Certificates of instrumental training.* * *Intermediate Spanish.* * *Experience in service-providing laboratories.* * *Experience with LIMS.* **Key responsibilities:** Coordinate QC laboratory activities with strong emphasis on advanced analytical instrumentation, ensuring result reliability, equipment availability and performance, and technical excellence of the team. Work in a dynamic environment supporting operations, serving as the technical reference for analytical method development and validation, and leading multidisciplinary teams focused on performance, quality, and food safety. * **Technical leadership:** Coordinate QC laboratory activities, ensuring reliability of analytical results and data integrity during analyses of raw materials, inputs, and finished products. Serve as the technical reference for advanced analytical instruments, including GC\-FID, GC\-MS, HPLC\-MS, ICP, atomic absorption, and others. Ensure preparation of standard samples for instrument calibration, as well as preparation and standardization of chemical solutions used in analyses. Responsible for coordinating intra- and inter-laboratory programs. **Instrumentation and maintenance**: Ensure proper operation of all laboratory equipment by planning and supporting preventive and/or corrective maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ); perform technical diagnosis of analytical failures; develop troubleshooting reports; among other duties. Serve as the primary interface with suppliers and manufacturers for technical support and technological upgrades. Lead implementation of new equipment and analytical technologies. **Method development, optimization, and validation**: Develop and review validation protocols, technical reports, procedures, and work instructions to support the local team and ensure analytical robustness (repeatability, reproducibility, data traceability, etc.). **Team management**: Lead and support a shift-based team, engaging and developing laboratory technicians and specialists. Promote training, standardization of laboratory practices, reinforcement of a positive organizational culture, and a sense of urgency. **Quality management**: Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and other applicable standards. Monitor departmental KPIs and propose improvements based on results. Support internal and external audits, manage deviations, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Actively participate in continuous improvement of the quality management system. **Process management**: Coordinate operational demands and support various departments that directly interface with the laboratory.
