QA Test Automation | Senior (Remote)

. **Responsibilities and Assignments** * Lead test automation strategies within squads; * Design, structure, and evolve modular, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks; * Develop and maintain test automations for APIs and web applications; * Ensure delivery quality through continuous execution of automated tests; * Actively participate in technical refinement sessions and definition of acceptance criteria; * Apply Shift-Left Testing practices, engaging from the beginning of the development lifecycle; * Create BDD scenarios using Gherkin/Cucumber as living documentation; * Implement and maintain test integrations in CI/CD pipelines; * Support performance, load, and security testing initiatives; * Conduct critical failure analysis, identifying root causes and proposing improvements; * Contribute to defining and disseminating quality and automation best practices; * Mentor junior and mid-level QA professionals, supporting the team’s technical growth; * Collaborate with Product, Development, and Technical Leadership teams to ensure delivery alignment; * Ensure automated tests are easy to maintain, reliable, and sustainable over time; * Support continuous improvement of QA, testing, and software engineering processes. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Proven experience in test automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver; * Solid experience in API test automation using RestAssured; * Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP); * Experience designing modular automation frameworks; * Knowledge of design patterns applied to test automation; * Experience with automated UI and API testing; * Hands-on experience with BDD using Gherkin/Cucumber; * Knowledge of performance and load testing using JMeter or K6; * Experience with continuous integration and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions; * Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or GitLab for version control and branch management; * Experience with Atlassian ecosystem tools (Jira, Confluence, Xray); * Knowledge of relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases; * Familiarity with data interchange formats such as JSON and YAML; * Experience with code quality analysis using SonarQube; * Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban); * Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. * Desirable: Experience in security testing; Exposure to Generative AI applied to test automation; Knowledge of microservices architecture; Experience in high-scale and mission-critical environments; Certifications related to QA and test automation; Knowledge of observability and application monitoring. **Additional Information** #remote Compass UOL is a global firm and part of the AI Revolution Company, together transforming organizations using Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and other of today’s most advanced technologies.
