Within an ecosystem combining IoT (Internet of Things) and SaaS (Software as a Service), the IoT system generates massive volumes of raw data (telemetry). The UX Designer acts as an **information curator**, transforming technical logs into business *insights* within the SaaS platform. In this context, the UX professional must collaborate closely with firmware engineers and backend developers. They need to understand technical constraints (e.g., sensor power consumption) to avoid designing features that drain device batteries within days. Fundamentally, they are a **complex systems strategist**. More than delivering tasks, the idea is to co-create with autonomy, responsibility, and space to experiment, fail, and learn. ### **Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** * **Metric Analysis:** Review heatmaps and conversion funnels. "Why are users abandoning sensor configuration at step 3?" * **Support Team Conversations:** The designer listens to recurring complaints to identify usability flaws or pairing bugs. * **Firmware/Engineering Meetings:** Discuss constraints. "Can we add a blinking blue LED for pairing, or does that consume too much device battery?" * **Error State Definition:** Plan what happens on the SaaS portal when the sensor loses its 5G or Wi-Fi signal. * **Service Blueprint Design:** Map the journey beginning with the physical object in the user’s hands and ending at the dashboard chart. * **Dashboard Refinement:** Create data visualizations that are not just "pretty" but enable customers to make rapid decisions. * **Bench Testing:** Take the hardware prototype, attempt to connect it to the portal, and identify where the process "stalls." * **User Interviews:** Speak with SaaS operators to understand whether new features truly solve their problems—or merely clutter the interface. * Ensure design is technically feasible (IoT). * **Research and Analysis:** Understand user pain points and data behavior. * Design the portal interface and interaction flows. * **Usability Testing:** Validate whether the solution actually works in real life. ### **What We Expect From You:** * SaaS portals typically handle large volumes of information and dashboards.
