Data Integration Engineer

Job Summary: This role requires advanced data manipulation, ETL, and BI skills, with a strong focus on Cloud ecosystems, DevOps, and data governance. Key Highlights: 1. Advanced experience in SQL and data modeling. 2. Proficiency in the Azure ecosystem and Modern Data Stack. 3. Focus on DevOps, data optimization, and data governance. ### **Technical Core (Mandatory Skills)** * **Data Proficiency:** Advanced knowledge of **SQL** for data transformation, optimization, and modeling (ER diagrams, normalization, primary/foreign keys). * **ETL \& Integration:** Experience developing data integration solutions (preferably **SSIS** or **Azure**). * **Business Intelligence:** Experience with BI tools, preferably within the Microsoft ecosystem (**Power BI, SSRS, SSAS**) or **Tableau**. * **Semi-structured Data:** Ability to work with **JSON, XML, and Parquet** formats. ### **2\. Cloud Ecosystem \& Modern Data Stack** * **Azure Data Factory (ADF):** Proven experience developing pipelines and using triggers. * **Snowflake:** Practical experience in integration, transformation, and governance within the platform. * **Databricks:** Hands-on experience with data integration and transformation. * **Azure Infrastructure:** Knowledge of **Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Monitoring, and Azure Functions**. * **API-based Ingestion:** Integration with **REST, SOAP, and OData APIs**. ### **3\. Engineering, Orchestration, and DevOps** * **Orchestration:** Experience with scheduling tools such as **Logic Apps and Fivetran**. * **DevOps \& Versioning:** Practices of **CI/CD** and use of **GitHub Actions**. * **Optimization:** Performance tuning and cloud cost optimization strategies. ### **4\. Differentiators and Desired Skills** * **Languages:** Programming in **Python** (preferred). * **Other Tools:** Experience with **BODS**. * **Diversified Cloud:** Fundamentals in **AWS**. * **Languages:** Fluent English (written and spoken). ### **5\. Governance and Methodology** * **Security:** Understanding of governance, compliance (**GDPR**), encryption, and access control. * **Quality:** Familiarity with data quality frameworks and monitoring strategies. * **Agility:** Experience with **Agile Methodologies** and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
