Job Summary: We are seeking a Software Engineering Analyst for the Payments community, focused on solving technological problems with simple approaches and excellence in software engineering. Key Highlights: 1. Work on high-volume critical systems within the Payments community. 2. Develop innovative solutions in an environment of constant change. 3. Participate in the entire application development and maintenance lifecycle. For every three reais transacted daily in Brazil, one passes through Itaú — i.e., approximately 33% of all financial value transacted daily nationwide. This metric reflects the significance of the work performed by engineering analysts within the Payments community. The Payments community encompasses core systems related to customers’ payment experiences — both individuals (PF) and legal entities (PJ) — within the Itaú ecosystem. High-volume critical systems constitute the majority across all teams within this community. We are seeking a Software Engineering Analyst to join the Payments community, specifically the team responsible for the core platform of payment scheduling systems. We believe technological problems should be solved with technology and always through the simplest possible approach. We seek a flexible individual capable of adapting to an environment of constant change. We operate under the “We build it, we run it” model — meaning we value professionals who excel across various software engineering disciplines and can execute the full application development lifecycle, including production support. Work Model: Hybrid, no fixed schedule Responsibilities and Duties: Requirements gathering Architecture design Test scenario specification Infrastructure definition and provisioning Instrumentation of monitoring tools Development of Java, Kotlin, and Python applications Intensive use of AWS cloud services Test automation Application support in staging and production environments Deployment of applications into production Documentation of applications and processes Promotion of best practices in application development Participation in Agile methodology ceremonies Monitoring functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) Deploying solutions into production and post-deployment follow-up Analysis and solution design to meet business demands Acquiring knowledge of the systems comprising the Payments platform Backend development Education: Completed Bachelor’s Degree – Systems Analysis, Completed Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Completed Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Completed Bachelor’s Degree – Information Technology, Completed Bachelor’s Degree – Information Systems Language: English – Intermediate Technologies: Java, Kotlin, Python, AWS SQS, AWS DynamoDB, AWS ECS, AWS CloudWatch, Spring Boot, Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS API Gateway, AWS SSM Parameter Store, GitHub Actions (IU Pipes 2.0) Itaú is Brazil’s most valuable brand, the best company to work for according to Great Place to Work, and the largest bank in Latin America.
