Position in AS/400 environment with COBOL/400 Work as a Senior COBOL Developer in an AS/400 environment, responsible for maintaining and evolving critical systems, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and operational continuity. The role’s mission is to perform structural adjustments to legacy code, ensuring compatibility and stability of batch and online routines. **Responsibilities** — Modify COBOL/400 code (e.g., changing PIC 9 fields to PIC X). — Review and correct impacted batch and online routines. — Ensure compatibility in REDEFINES, substrings, and validation masks. — Work on critical registration and integration systems. — Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting of legacy code. — Document solutions and changes implemented. **Requirements** — Solid experience in COBOL/400 (AS/400\). — Experience with DB2 and VSAM. — Hands-on experience with critical integration and registration routines. — Experience with version control (GitLab or similar). — Strong analytical capability to work on complex legacy systems. — Minimum 8 years of COBOL development experience. **Preferred Qualifications** — Experience with structured technical documentation. — Experience in legacy system modernization or adaptation projects. — Organized profile with strong quality orientation. **Additional Information** Work Model: Remote Working Hours: Business hours Employment Type: Project-based / Temporary
