Faculty development and comprehensive student support **Brief Description** Responsible for the academic, pedagogical, and administrative management of the Law program. Leads faculty and students, ensuring excellence in legal education and strict compliance with guidelines from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB). Coordinates implementation of the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC), research activities, extension initiatives, and practical legal training, safeguarding students’ ethical and technical formation in both on-campus and distance learning (EaD) modalities. **Duties and Responsibilities** **Strategic and Pedagogical Management (PPC and NDE)** * **Collegiate Leadership:** Convene and preside over meetings of the Course Collegiate (CC) and the Structuring Faculty Nucleus (NDE), ensuring implementation of decisions made. * **PPC Updates:** Coordinate the development, implementation, and updating of the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC) together with the NDE, integrating pedagogical innovations and emerging paradigms in Law into the institution’s Institutional Development Plan (PDI) and Pedagogical Institutional Plan (PPI). * **Regulatory Compliance:** Represent the institution and enforce regulations issued by higher-level bodies (CONSENS, CEPEX) and regulatory requirements concerning curriculum integration and diploma issuance. **Faculty and Academic Management** * **Teaching Planning:** Receive and supervise teaching plans, syllabi, and schedules for Formative and Interdisciplinary Axes at the beginning of each academic term. * **Classroom Management:** Monitor the academic system, implementation of teaching plans, and attendance of faculty and technical staff. * **Assignment Distribution:** Define and allocate among faculty members responsibilities related to teaching, research initiation, and legal extension activities. * **Social Body Development:** Organize forums, legal weeks, pedagogical workshops, and continuing education programs for faculty and administrative staff. **Student and Administrative Management** * **Student Support:** Advise students on rights, responsibilities, discipline, and academic regularization. Issue opinions regarding credit recognition, transfers, course dependencies, and makeup exams. * **EaD Monitoring:** Coordinate Law undergraduate EaD activities in alignment with the Distance Education Nucleus (NEAD), supervising tutors and logistics at support poles. * **Assessment and Performance:** Coordinate learning assessment processes in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), grade recording, and attendance tracking in the academic system. * **Institutional Reporting:** Submit semester activity reports to the Teaching Directorate and provide monthly updates to the institution’s governing body regarding personnel and student movements (enrollments, course suspensions, and dropouts).
