Collaboration with cross-functional teams **Job Description** **Onsite** \- This position requires the employee to be onsite full-time. The Manufacturing Engineer (Automation) will be responsible for optimizing and implementing conveyors for production automation at GM Brazil, aiming for continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and safety. **Responsibilities:** * Develop, implement, and optimize conveyor solutions for the automotive industry across manufacturing processes, from concept through validation. * Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate risks in automated systems. * Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure conveyor designs are optimized for automated production. * Lead Automation Engineering (Conveyors), defining and documenting workflows, technical specifications, and automation standards. * Ensure compliance with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) guidelines during implementation of new technologies and processes. * Ensure strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to guarantee safety during equipment maintenance and interventions. * Perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in automated processes. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product engineering, maintenance, and production—to integrate conveyor solutions into the automation team. Monitor performance of automated systems (conveyors), conduct data analysis, and implement corrective actions as needed. * **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Control and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields. * Practical knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM). * Solid experience in Automation Engineering with a focus on conveyors. * Experience developing conveyors for the automotive industry. * Ability to work effectively in teams and communicate efficiently across all organizational levels. * Intermediate English proficiency or higher. \&\#xa;\&\#xa;GM does not provide immigration\-related sponsorship for this role.
