Join our team and become a Med Member. **Responsibilities and Duties** Article 4º\- The psychologist’s duties are as follows: 1\) To apply psychological methods and techniques with the aim of: b) vocational guidance and selection; c) psychopedagogical guidance; d) resolving adjustment problems. 2\) To manage Psychology services in public agencies and institutions, including autonomous, parastatal, mixed-economy, and private entities. 3\) To teach Psychology courses or disciplines at all educational levels, subject to other requirements stipulated in current legislation. 4\) To supervise professionals and students in theoretical and practical Psychology work. 5\) To provide technical advisory services to public agencies and institutions, including autonomous, parastatal, mixed-economy, and private entities. 6\) To conduct expert evaluations and issue opinions on matters related to Psychology. In addition to the above, psychologists are required to perform the following tasks: a) Provide individual or group psychological counseling and therapeutic follow-up to military police officers and their families. b) Identify and address emotional factors affecting an individual’s overall health, collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams. c) Conduct patient intake for entry into the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) mental health care system. d) Participate in developing educational and mental health training programs, performing assessments and diagnoses to enhance the performance of various teams. e) Evaluate patients’ treatment progress. f) Advise patients and their families regarding the treatment program. g) Record each consultation or service provided to the patient in the medical record. h) Participate in the multidisciplinary team in designing therapeutic projects, demonstrating teamwork skills. i) Submit reports on services rendered, in accordance with administrative regulations. j) Provide advisory support for teaching, research, and extension activities. k) Carry out management activities related to work processes, health promotion, and health care, aligned with professional training specifics or assigned functions. l) Plan, advise, coordinate, or supervise technical and administrative services, as well as other activities compatible with the role and the holder’s higher education level, within the scope of PMDF operations. m) Attend up to three (3) work meetings per year at locations and times designated by the contracting party—even if scheduled outside regular working hours—provided prior notice is given.
