If, like us, you are passionate about education and technology, UOL EdTech is the place for you! **Check out this opportunity and join us as an \#EdTecher!** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Lead and develop the software engineering team, working closely and technically (hands\-on when necessary). * Collaborate closely with Product, Data, Business, Marketing, and CX teams to unblock deliveries and maximize impact. * Plan, prioritize, and monitor deliveries of initiatives related to the digital journey and operations, balancing roadmap execution, system maintenance, and technical debt. * Lead the evolution of CRM (HubSpot) integrations and funnel automation, ensuring event and data synchronization with governance. * Coordinate payment flow integrations and evolution, guaranteeing: Resilience (timeouts, retries, circuit breaker), idempotency, and state consistency; Robust webhook and partial failure handling; End-to-end traceability and reconciliation where applicable. * Ensure observability and reliability of solutions using Datadog (APM, logs, metrics, and alerts), defining SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and runbooks. * Drive engineering practices: code review, standards, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation (ADRs), and continuous improvement. * Lead incident management (triage, mitigation, post\-mortem, and prevention plans), reducing MTTR and recurring failures. * Promote practical AI usage to enhance engineering and operational efficiency (e.g., PR assistance, test generation, documentation, incident analysis, internal automations). **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. * Prior experience managing people in engineering teams (feedback, individual development, performance tracking, rituals, and work organization). * Solid hands-on experience in software development with emphasis on integrations and distributed systems. * Experience with NestJS (Node.js) and API development (REST), webhook-based integrations, and authentication/authorization. * Practical knowledge of service-oriented architecture and resilience/reliability patterns (idempotency, retries/backoff, timeouts, circuit breaker, queues, eventual consistency). * Experience in AWS environments (managed services, security, secrets, observability, and operations). * Experience with Datadog (APM, logs, metrics, tracing, and alerts) and strong production troubleshooting practices. * Experience with modern engineering practices: Git, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD. * Familiarity with the modern web ecosystem, including Next.js and integrations with Strapi (Headless CMS). **Additional Information** **To stand out in this role, it would be great if you also have:** * Experience with payment gateways and ecosystems (Adyen, PagarMe, PagBank or similar), including fraud prevention, chargebacks/disputes, reconciliation, and retry strategies. * Experience with HubSpot CRM integrations and governance (rate limits, data models, automations, and event synchronization). * Experience in high-conversion/revenue-critical environments focused on improving key metrics (e.g., approval rate, error reduction, performance). * Experience with OpenTelemetry and/or advanced instrumentation for end-to-end traceability. * Experience applying AI in a structured way (copilots/agents) to accelerate development and operations. **We are a company that transforms lives through education powered by technology, offering a complete ecosystem of solutions for students, educational institutions, and enterprises.** We work hard to deliver the best digital learning experience, helping remove barriers, expanding access to quality education, and leaving our legacy in the world.
