If this way of working resonates with you, come join us. **Your responsibilities:** * Lead the development team technically, ensuring sound software engineering practices. * Design and implement scalable and robust solutions for banking billing systems. * Serve as a technical reference, supporting the team through mentoring, pair programming, and code reviews. * Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business and technology. * Ensure code quality and encourage adoption of automated testing. * Work on observability, monitoring, and application performance. * Identify technical risks and propose continuous improvements. * Define and enforce architecture, security, and governance standards. * Analyze and resolve complex production issues. * Document and organize the team’s knowledge base. **What we’re looking for:** * Solid experience in Java development (8+). * Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and JPA/Hibernate. * Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). * Hands-on experience with messaging and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ). * Experience developing REST APIs and microservices. * Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD). * Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. * Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture. * Experience with security in financial applications. * Technical leadership ability and strong communication skills. **Nice-to-have qualifications:** * Prior experience in financial or banking systems (especially billing). * Experience handling high-volume and mission-critical systems. * Exposure to advanced observability (APM, logs, tracing). * Prior experience leading teams through transformation to microservices architecture. **Where you’ll work:** * This is a fully remote position. **Employment models** * Cooperative contractor **Benefits of being a Zallper:** Wellhub Access to gyms, physical activities, and wellness programs.
