Job Summary: Join a leading Brazilian technology company in Latin America and transform your career by becoming part of an innovative team focused on cutting-edge technology and risk model development. Key Highlights: 1. Lead and coordinate a team of analysts and builders 2. Design and prototype new risk models using cutting-edge technology 3. Architect and maintain a risk modeling factory **Our Way of Working in the Team** ------------------------------- Transform your career with iFood! We are a Brazilian technology company recognized as a leader in Latin America. Through innovative solutions, we connect thousands of restaurants to millions of consumers daily, processing an average of 100 million orders per month. Beyond food delivery, we also operate in Grocery, Pharmacy, and Pet categories. Additionally, iFood Pago — our Fintech — includes iFood Benefits (iFood’s meal and food vouchers) and iFood Pago itself — the bank for restaurants. Join us and be part of a team that consistently stays ahead with cutting-edge technology and continuous innovation. Hybrid role at our Osasco-SP office. **Your Daily Menu** ----------------------- * Architect and maintain the modeling factory: ensure consistency across credit, liquidity, capital, operational, and non-financial risk models; * Coordinate a squad of analysts and builders — prioritize calibrations, conduct code reviews, design new methodologies, and provide technical feedback; * Design new models and prototype solutions: Databricks, Python/SQL, end-to-end validation (data → transformation → model → output → validation); * Research how systems and agents consuming the models operate: structure inputs, outputs, validation, SLAs; * Migrate legacy systems to the new paradigm: document methodologies, model cards, integrate into modern pipelines; * Govern internal knowledge base: curate decisions, methodologies, regulatory updates, lessons learned — maintain a "single source of truth" for quantitative knowledge; * Collaborate closely with systems/agents under construction: design inputs/outputs, validation rules, SLAs; * Calibration roadmap H1–H2: PD/ECL, RAS expansion, Stress Testing, Capital Planning; * Regulatory engagement: prepare files, defend methodologies, and support supervision. **Ingredients We’re Looking For** ----------------------------- * Polyglot modeler: Comfortable switching between credit, liquidity, capital, operational, and non-financial risks; * Hands-on builder + modern statistical methods: Code it yourself in Python, SQL, Databricks; comfortable with regression, survival analysis, simulation — but also open to modern techniques when required (machine learning, ensemble methods, modern feature engineering); * Methodology structuring under uncertainty: Build models even with imperfect data. Balance academic rigor with operational pragmatism. Strong documentation skills for assumptions and trade-offs; * Systems architecture: Considering models will be consumed by multiple users/systems — structure inputs, outputs, validation, versioning, SLAs; * High-context communication: Communicate methodological nuances to diverse audiences (committees, technical teams, business stakeholders); * Ownership of quality: You own the output. Do not outsource validation; you review and refactor when you identify patterns; **To Enhance the Flavor** ------------------------ * Experience building modeling platforms in corporations (banks with multiple lines of business, scaled fintechs, insurers); * Expertise in IFRS 9, Basel, or quantitative regulatory frameworks; * Familiarity with machine learning in risk: you’ve used gradient boosting, ensemble methods, or modern feature selection techniques in risk contexts; * Experience in pipeline orchestration / MLOps: input/output contracts, SLA, versioning, CI/CD for models; * Track record in migrating legacy systems / paradigm shifts — successfully transitioned operations from one working mode to another with minimal disruption; * Exposure to modern tools: Databricks, scheduling, Git, Slack/Jira integration — comfort with data DevOps; * Bonus: Experience applying AI/ML research to risk (LLM agents, reasoning systems, synthetic data generation); **About Us** ------------- At iFood, we believe diversity drives \#Innovation and delivers \#OutstandingResults. Therefore, we do not discriminate against candidates with disabilities, gender, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, age, origin, family composition, or appearance.
