Description

The Network Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, ensuring the security, availability, and performance of networks supporting the company’s and its customers’ operations. This professional will serve as the technical reference for networking, collaborating with other teams to ensure that network solutions meet business needs and are scalable, secure, and efficient. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Design and implement network architectures supporting Claranet’s cloud operations, ensuring high availability and security of data and communications. * Manage configuration and maintenance of network equipment—including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers—to ensure optimal infrastructure performance. * Collaborate with security teams to implement protections against cyber threats and ensure compliance with information security policies. * Monitor network performance, identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations. * Conduct regular audits of the network infrastructure, ensuring all components operate according to best practices and defined parameters. * Develop and maintain detailed documentation of the network infrastructure to facilitate support and engineering team workflows. * Propose and implement continuous improvements to network architectures, ensuring scalability to support the growth of the company and its customers. * Manage network-related incidents, ensuring rapid and effective response to minimize impact. * Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and trends, recommending adoption of new solutions when appropriate. * Provide technical support and consultation for projects involving network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and security requirements are met. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networks, or related fields. A postgraduate degree/MBA in Networking, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, or related areas is considered a strong advantage. * **Certifications:** Industry certifications are highly desirable, including: Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP; Fortinet certifications such as NSE4 Fortinet and NSE7 Fortinet; Juniper certifications such as JNCIA-Junos and JNCIP-ENT; and cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, and other equivalent certifications in networking, security, and infrastructure (e.g., Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.). * **Courses / Technical Knowledge:** Experience or complementary training in network administration, information security, routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, SD-WAN), NGFW firewalls, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, network virtualization, infrastructure automation, cloud networking, and advanced troubleshooting. * **Language Proficiency:** Advanced English for technical reading, troubleshooting, interaction with vendors/TAC, and participation in technical meetings. * **Specific Skills:** Administration and troubleshooting of enterprise-level networking and security environments; firewall management; cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP); network automation; technical leadership; critical analysis; ability to troubleshoot complex environments; consultative approach; and strong communication skills for interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams. **Additional Information** At **Claranet**, innovation is in our DNA.
