This is how we connect Localiza\&Co with the future. **Responsibilities and Assignments** We are seeking an Expert Data Scientist with a strong foundation in applied statistics and experimental methods. Your mission will be to conduct deep exploratory analyses, design robust experiments—including A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and counterfactual analyses—and support evidence-based strategic decisions. As part of the team, you will be responsible for designing experiments, developing Machine Learning and AI models, validating business hypotheses, and transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. Your work will focus on topics such as customer retention (churn) and value generation from the customer base, supporting strategic and product decisions. A leadership-oriented mindset is expected—not only executing technical tasks but also helping define analytical approaches and advancing data usage across the business. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Plan, execute, and analyze multivariate A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and counterfactual analyses—ensuring statistical validity and practical relevance; * Conduct detailed exploratory analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities; * Lead statistical modeling and causal inference projects, translating results into business recommendations; * Serve as the technical reference for statistics and experimentation within the team; * Propose and implement frameworks for experiment monitoring and impact metrics; * Collaborate with business, product, and operations teams to define hypotheses and structure tests jointly; * Ensure clear documentation and accessible communication of results for non-technical stakeholders; * Develop machine learning models focused on generating value for the company and our customers. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience in applied statistics, experimentation, and data analysis; * Proficiency in A/B testing and quasi-experiments, multivariate experiments, and causal inference methods; * Advanced knowledge of statistical models, Machine Learning, and Bayesian analysis; * Proficiency in Python and SQL; * Ability to translate complex statistical concepts into actionable business insights; * Experience handling large-scale datasets and analytical tools; * \+5 years of proven experience in data science, applied statistics, or related fields. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * Knowledge of model development on AWS; * Experience in customer retention (Churn) projects; * Experience with LLMs, multimodal models, and AI Agents; * Relevant certifications in applied statistics, causal inference, or digital experimentation; * Active participation in statistics, data science, and applied research communities. **Additional Information** **BENEFITS OF THIS POSITION** * Profit Sharing * Company Car * Food Allowance * Meal Voucher * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * Gympass * Private Pension * Remote Work Allowance * Allya * Unlimited access to various courses offered by Localiza University * Internal training and development programs * Discounts on vehicle purchase and rental **Experience being Localiza\&Co—and help build the future of mobility with us!** We are one of the **largest and most comprehensive mobility platforms in the world**, integrating multiple innovative and efficient solutions.
