Job Summary: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and evolving the data platform, ensuring data quality and technical leadership. Key Highlights: 1. Act as a technical reference, mentoring junior engineers 2. Participate in the leadership and evolution of the data governance platform 3. Define and disseminate best practices and data engineering frameworks As a **Senior Data Engineer**, your responsibilities include: * Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines (APIs, automations, and files). * Ensure data quality through cleansing, typing, and validation processes. * Design and evolve data architecture, considering scalability, security, and integration across heterogeneous sources. * Structure and evolve CI/CD pipelines for data, using GitHub and GitHub Actions. * Define and disseminate best practices and data engineering frameworks for the team. * Continue evolving our data platform by designing solutions and automations for data testing and quality controls. * Participate in the leadership, development, and evolution of our data governance platform, including catalog, lineage, and discovery. * Propose solutions, assist in technical prioritization, and contribute to defining the team’s roadmap. * Serve as the team’s technical reference, reviewing and approving deliverables and mentoring more junior engineers. **Requirements:** * Minimum of 3 years as an engineer in roles involving technical leadership and creation of frameworks/standards. * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields. * Solid experience with SQL for handling large volumes of data. * Experience with transformation tools such as dbt (Dataform is a plus). * Strong experience with Python applied to data. * Experience with data modeling (fact/dimension, schemas, data warehouse/lake). * Experience with cloud-based data architecture (GCP preferred). * Experience with CI/CD practices applied to data. * Knowledge of data governance and data lifecycle management. * Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with technical leadership, autonomy, and proactive project ownership. **That said, we offer:** * PJ (individual contractor) employment model. * Hybrid work arrangement (1–2 days per week onsite). **Interested?
