Description
Program, set up, and operate CNC machining machines in compliance with current safety regulations; monitor the machining process to ensure the specified quality for each part; and record manufacturing and efficiency data.
• Develop and apply knowledge of methodology and interpretation of technical drawings.
• Prepare, adjust, and perform set-up of CNC machines; organize and maintain the machining tooling in the area.
• Conduct CNC machine release tests.
• Operate automatic saws, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers in accordance with current safety regulations and requirements.
• Perform measurements and issue completion reports for machined parts within current quality standards.
• Ensure efficient use of raw materials, avoid waste, and suggest process improvements to reduce costs.
• Comply with all operational and area cleaning procedures.
• Clearly and objectively report detected anomalies to coordination.
• Ensure application of engineering standards in the area.
• Participate in equipment and industrial process improvement initiatives according to the factory’s continuous improvement flow.
• Proactively identify situations that could jeopardize machining operations and take necessary actions to eliminate risks.
• Seek alternatives and implement operational actions to reduce energy consumption through critical analysis of various operational parameters monitored by the department.
• Education: Completed high school; completed Technical Course in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Training: CNC machining center preparation and operation; CNC lathe programming, preparation, and operation; 5S; Kaizen (desirable); Quality Control Assistant (desirable)
