We are looking for an **Azure Data Engineer**, required to build reliable and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading corporate data into an RDF Graph Database. This professional will focus on native Azure data integration (e.g., Azure Data Factory) and streaming/messaging (e.g., Kafka) to support high-quality, graph-ready datasets for an MVP and future enterprise expansion. **Responsibilities:** * Design and build batch and streaming pipelines on Azure to ingest data from files, APIs, databases, and event streams. * Develop and operate pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF), including scheduling, parameterization, error handling, and monitoring. * Implement streaming ingestion/processing patterns based on Kafka (topics, consumers/producers, schema evolution) to support near real-time feeds when required. * Perform data transformations and modeling to produce outputs compatible with RDF (e.g., inputs for entity/relationship mapping), ensuring consistency, traceability (lineage), and reproducibility. * Collaborate with ontology/graph modelers to align pipeline outputs with graph schemas, identifiers, and link resolution approaches. * Establish data quality checks (completeness, validity, duplication), logging, and operational runbooks. * Support DevOps practices: CI/CD for pipeline artifacts, environment promotion, and operational dashboards/alerts. * Contribute to technical documentation: source\-to\-target mappings, pipeline specifications, and deployment notes. **Requirements:** * 3+ years building production data pipelines on Azure, with strong hands-on experience in ADF. * Experience with Kafka (or equivalent streaming/messaging technology) in real implementations. * Strong SQL knowledge and proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python). * Solid understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling concepts, and operational pipeline support (monitoring, reprocessing, SLAs). * Advanced/Fluent English **Desirable:** * Familiarity with RDF/Knowledge Graph concepts (triples, IRIs, serialization formats such as Turtle/JSON\-LD, SPARQL). * Experience integrating with graph databases (e.g., Stardog, GraphDB, Neptune) or semantic layers. * Experience with commonly used Azure services in pipelines (e.g., ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Functions, Fabric). **Certifications:** * Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP\-203\) * Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ\-900\) * Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ\-204\) (useful for Functions/integration) * Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ\-400\) (CI/CD \+ platform operations) * Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (CCDAK) or equivalent Kafka certification * Any training/certification in Semantic Web / Knowledge Graph (vendor trainings such as Stardog or other graph platforms are a plus) . **WHY CAPCO:** At **Capco**, we foster an inclusive culture.
